Toys For Tots_08
Thanks to the weather, there was an excellent turn-out for the USMC Toys for Tots motorcycle parade, Sunday. The morning temperature measured about 55°F/ 12.8°C, but with the sun out it was soon clear that I’d overdressed. I picked up our friend, Little Michele, and we mosed on over to the staging area on the Texas A&M University campus. There, after partially disrobing, we wandered about rubbernecking the people and machines and visiting.
Michele got off to Rudolph and friend.
She wasn’t as taken by the fringe element, though.
We’d seen a Can Am roll in and went searching or it. We found this T-Rex, instead. In my book, it has four wheels (three on the ground, one in the cockpit), that makes it a car.
The dealer wasn’t close by but there was a honey with brochures so we checked one out. Camapagna claims this baby will do over 144 mph.
There was a collection of the mundane and the exotic including this Polite Patrol Gold Wing with surrey top and golf bag holder.
Along about eleven o’clock we were headed up and moved out.
Of course, there was the traditional bottleneck.
The parade stretched away ahead of, and behind, the big yella bike.
It was a beautiful day and Christmas was all around us.

The parade ended at an old concrete plant-turned music venue called, ”Concrete Street Theater” , where we listened to a kick-ass band and enjoyed barbecue and fellowship.
A good time was had by us.
